About Baileo Maluku
Baileo Maluku Foundation (hereinafter referred to as Baileo) was formed by a group of local community organizers, aiming to become a forum for working with people’s organizations & indigenous peoples in the Maluku islands. Since its inception in 1993, Baileo has a statute as a Network Secretariat for several local organizations and customary institutions in Maluku.
In a fairly long historical process (for 17 years), Baileo facilitated 8 Network Member Local Organizations that work directly with communities in the Maluku islands including; Kei, Aru, Tanimbar, Seram, Lease (Haruku, Saparua and Nusalaut) and Buru.
After each network member organization has autonomy in managing organizations and programs, at the 2010 Network Meeting, it was agreed that the Baileo Secretariat should change its status to an autonomous organization with the legal entity “Foundation” and continue to use the name “Baileo Maluku Foundation”.
It was agreed that even though it became an autonomous organization, it would still carry out facilitation functions for network member organizations according to their needs.

“A comprehensive testimonial will be thoughtfully placed here, complete with all the compelling details and thoughtful insights.”
